The Starting Point transitional housing program provides housing and support for women and their children looking to on their own, free from abuse. Families may stay for up to one year while working towards independent living arrangements. Services provided include weekly casework, support groups, childrens advocacy and support groups, life-skills development and referrals to job opportunities and educational programs. Both shelter residents and non-resident clients are eligible for consideration
in the program. Additionally, financial assistance (for emergency needs) and scholarship assistance for those in the program enrolled in a certificate or degree program are available.
