Calling our 24-hour hotline is the first step a victim of domestic abuse takes to receive free and confidential services. Trained staff and volunteers offer information and emotional support to callers in crisis and non-crisis situations. Families and friends of victims who call the hotline can also receive information and emotional support.
Crisis intervention and options counseling are also provided to victims on an individual and group basis for both shelter residents and the community. The counseling services of the agency embrace the empowerment philosophy. Counselors and caseworkers assist victims in creating goal and safety plans. Our goal is to empower victims to become self-sufficient and live free of domestic violence. Group counseling sessions are offered for victims to process their situations in a safe environment with
other individuals who are experiencing or who have experienced domestic violence. Specialty groups are available throughout the year. We also facilitate a support group in Spanish. During group sessions, there are concurrent children's groups. For more information and support group times, call the hotline at 610-437-3369.
